Digital animation is performed in order to present previously created 3D models in an attractive way. It can be a short stand-alone form presenting an object of interest to us, an element of a longer film, used as an additional illustrative element or a separate short work with its own script, narration and voice-over. In the latter case, we ensure the implementation of the work at all stages, starting from the script, finding references, creating a shooting board and blockout of the scene, through 3D modeling and rendering, to editing, sound and post-processing. It is important to establish as many details as possible at the beginning of cooperation in order to satisfy the Client without time-consuming later corrections.

Although each type of animation is performed in a slightly different way, the same rules of image aesthetics as in classical film art are always followed in such implementations. That is why we always place great emphasis on consciously building a narrative using frame composition, virtual camera work and correct editing. Depending on the nature of the project, Blender graphics software is used for rendering, allowing for the highest level of detail in lighting and rendering, or the Unreal Engine 5 game engine, which allows for the creation of extensive maps with rich natural surroundings.

An example of a feature film in which animations made by Midgard Studio were used is the film “Od Popiela do Piasta” directed by Z. Cozac. Many of the films made by the company also use 3D visualizations.
