THE OLDEST STRONGHOLD IN WARSAW
The aim of the project was to perform a digital reconstruction of the early medieval centre of Bródno Stare.
In this place, at the end of the 9th or beginning of the 10th century, the first known early medieval settlement was established, and at the end of the 10th or beginning of the 11th century, the oldest stronghold in the area of today’s metropolis was established. The aim of the work was to recreate not only the appearance of the stronghold and the layout of the development of the stronghold, but also to show the everyday living conditions of our ancestors based on archaeological data. The final effect of the work is a short film – a digital animation presenting the realities of life of the community living here.
